What to look for when beginning a raw vegan diet:

  • Easy raw recipes with 5 to 10 fresh ingredients
  • Keep in mind, fresh ingredients spoil faster, 1 to 2 days for left overs
  • Most of all, add lots love into your raw recipes and enjoy the process, you and others will taste the difference!

Raw Vegan Recipe Tip: Basic Raw Cheese

3 main ingredients to the raw cheese base:

  • Nuts or seeds of your choice
  • Lemon juice or fermentation process (leave cheese mix out overnight on the counter)
  • Salt (optional) Blend in a Vita Mix Blender or your favorite blender.

It is also flavorful to add a chunk of onion but not necessary.
Lastly flavor the cheese dip to your liking. Like adding basil, dried tomatoes, or a date or Agave Nectar (questionable raw food) for a cream cheese. Using white nuts like cashews, Macadamias, or pine nuts is great for making raw white vegan cheeses. Add red bell pepper for a orange or vegan cheddar cheese. For a cheese sauce add more liquid and blend until warm.

Sun-dried tomato basil is sweeter than a basil pesto sauce and is wonderful over vegetable zucchini pasta or your favorite pasta.

Macadamia Easy Basil Pesto Recipe is so delightful mixed in with fresh marinated vegetables. The macadamias add to the richness although pine nuts may also be used.

Especially rich with cashews or macadamia nuts (I personally use Tahini instead of nuts) in love to blend this vegan alfredo sauce until warm and then pour over warmed zucchini noodles.
