Fresh Raw Food Diet Weight Loss Question:

Pastor Williams asked:
"I am just getting started and would like to know if just eating basic fruits and veggies could help me get going with weight loss a long with exercise. It has not been easy for me in the past to lose weight what would you do? Also I have thyroid issues and I am about 70 pounds over weight."

First of all I would love to thank Pastor Williams for his honesty and awareness to becoming healthier. Over the years many people have asked me this same question and even if your own personal experience in life is not with wanting to release a few extra pounds, understanding the process of releasing emotions or fresh raw food diet weight loss can support you in other areas of your life too.

Enjoying as many fresh fruits and vegetables along with lots of physical fitness or physical play does a body good. Yet health includes many other aspects and areas of our life.

I personally enjoy an abundant of 100% fresh fruits and vegetables daily, I exercise daily and still I can feel unhealthy when my personal relationship with my husband is not in alignment with my or his highest good. Other times I am working on my serving others in this amazing business so much I forget to time out to let go, play and relax this leaves me feeling unhealthy, tired and run down.

Fresh raw food diet weight loss starts by looking into our emotional needs first. Extra weight on the body is often times related to the extra weight in your life.

Start by asking yourself:

  • Are my emotional needs being met? If you are a woman often times we place ourself last on the list we many never get to.
  • Could this extra weight on my body represent any extra experiences I am not willing to release? Think of any unhealthy or unhappy experiences, often from childhood you don't want to look at.
  • Can I release any extra emotional baggage I keep carrying around? If you are the type of person to give, give and give to others you may also take on their emotions and un-supportive experiences as well.
  • When I become emotionally uncomfortable what do I do? Reach for food, eat and stuff my feelings? The next time you become upset be conscious of what you do next.
Keep looking into each area of your life, your emotions and ask questions until you hit on those thoughts that feel the most uncomfortable.

For years instead of eating when my own emotions came up I would run from them. I would not eat, I'd starve. I would break up with a boyfriend and go find another. I would move into another house or mentally beat myself up. Nothing I did ever made the feelings go away until I started facing them "heart on."

Raw Food Diet Weight Loss By Turning Your Heart On

Heart On is a way to respond to your feelings and work through them coming from a place of your heart and not your head or ego. Believe me this takes practice, the more you can open up, breath and allow the emotions to flow the healthier you will be both emotionally and physically.

Let me explain how the process works:

  1. In the beginning find a place to be free and open to express yourself. You may like a friend or family member there who you know can support you without really being emotionally involved. It is important for you to eventually go through the process yourself but in the beginning or if you are an auditory learner you may need another person as a sounding board.

  2. Take a deep breath, clear your mind of any other thoughts beyond the emotionally charged thought and write it down. As you write it down let the emotions flow, if you feel like crying, cry, if you feel angry, scream if you want. Get the emotion out, often times, especially if you are male, we are not allowed to cry or show emotion because we are suppose to be "strong". I have found that if allowed in childhood to express emotions freely those same children as adults will grow up to handle emotions healthier with no need to stuff. We can now take our emotional wellbeing to the next level by healing our emotions now. Go forward and even react as if you are a child knowing there is an understanding parent there to support you and guide you through.

  3. After you have written down your emotion, released your emotions, you can place your arms around you and give yourself a big hug. Take a few more deep breaths and think of every thought about the emotion from your heart prospective. For example when I have thoughts that one of my adult children will be hurt being in the wrong relationship or doing un-supportive things like smoking or eating fast food, I begin to feel scared. Instead of thinking from that thought of fear I ask my heart "help me with a thought that feels good. My heart answers me by reminding me that my children are not my children they only came through my body for their own experiences. Through my heart I can trust that they must experience life and that from a distance everything is perfect no matter what they do and they are on their own mission in the adventure of life.

  4. Once you sit and have this conversation with your heart the emotion will start to release from you and you may no longer feel the need to carry it around or stuff the emotion any longer. With this you can take a final deep breath and see yourself releasing the physical pounds from your body, your mind or any other area of your life you feel weighted down. If you need to practice this again and again simply allowing yourself to ask your heart for a fresh prospective allows you to release a thought that causes the emotion to dissipate.

Remember the physical is only a manifestation of our thoughts and emotions. In order to change the physical we must first start with our thoughts and emotions. Yes, to achieve raw food diet weight loss, fresh fruits, vegetables and exercise will support the mind and emotions as well. The spiritual, mental, emotional and physical parts of us all are created to work together in order to address any experience you would like to change it is key we change each area at the same time.

Our bodies are amazing they are great reminders of our thoughts and emotions they give us the opportunity to look at the area in our life we would like to change, make adjustments and get back on track to our chosen feel healthy and happy course.
