5 Steps To Simple Eating
When you are ready for a shift in your health and body and want to
begin adding more fresh fruits
and veggies into your diet and transform your lifestyle you
want it to be easy, simple and fast, right? I know when I first went
vegan and
then raw vegan many years ago I wanted the same. After counseling with
a new client who called me in hopelessness and stressed state, I
thought
back to my adventure and what I did to transition and remain successful
on a raw food vegan lifestyle.

After contemplating this today I wanted to share with you my
top 5 personal simple eating steps I personally used to make healthy
eating not only easy and quick but more of a fun game. . .
- Perspective of Possibilities of Simple Eating- "When you change the
way you look at things the things you look at change." Dr Wayne Dyer.
Dr. Dyers quote
is one of my top favorites of all time because more than anything else
changing your diet or really anything new in life is all about
perspective, how you see your world and of the situation that lies in
from on you the you are present to. This is all a representation
of the experience you are having now and will continue to
have unless you change your perspective and see the new
possibilities.
For example I use to think
that meat was a essential part of a
"healthy"
diet. My dad and mom believed that, taught it to me and I saw the world
from that Standard America Diet perspective and all the possibilities
came from within this world. In fact even when
I was experimenting with a vegan diet, myself I still fed my 3 older
children, who were quite young at the time,
meat and dairy products for about 1 year after I had gone vegan because
my perspective was that children needed their protein from animal
products. WOW that
sure changed after adopting a new perspective of possibilities. After
that I started feeding them and then later my 2 youngest children a raw
vegan diet
and guess what? Those 2 youngest child raised on a raw vegan diet are
both thriving and vibrant.
Adopt a new attitude and prospective that a high raw vegan lifestyle or
100% raw lifestyle is possible. Then all you have to do is be OPEN to
the possibilities that will begin to come forth and your point view of
the world and all your experiences in it will begin to shift and
change. Change is grand embrace it fully!!!!
- Step New Loving Relationship With Self- One of
the saddest crimes in the world especially among women is self hatred.
Ladies (and gentlemen) now is the time for a big shift on our planet,
it is the time for radical self love and appreciation. I know the
mantra out in the world
is that we are not suppose to "be selfish" or "self centered" but I am
here to shout it out loud that that thought is a
complete lie!. I don't mean to offend
anyone here but how is anyone suppose to give of themselves when if we
are beating ourself up with inner thoughts and words like "your ugly"
"your fat" or "your don't deserve anything good" then how are we ever
going to shine bright and be in the highest vibrational state?
I could write all day (don't worry I won't) on the self abuse most
women put themselves
through and then expect from some miracle that they will just release
the
weight or wake up healthy with an abundant of energy one morning. The
real "work" or "fun" as I
like to say, is to develop a personal centered in self (SELF-CENTERED)
relationship of complete love and devotion to self. In the giving to
self you will fill your cup so full it will be over flowing available
for you to
shower your
love and service on others easily without hard work.
- Step The Journey- Have you ever heard the expression
"Your life is a journey?" Learning a new language like health and
simple eating is a journey too. Just think of all the new possible
flavors, information, inspiration and skills you are going to learn a
long this amazing journey. Pretend you are on a treasure hunt to
dis-cover (uncover) the small treasures along your path towards the
ultimate reward of the big treasure in the end- amazing body and
health. Your journey is an adventure from the first
recipe (mine was awful) to a culinary master piece so delicious you
enjoy sharing with all your friends and family not to mention all the
energy you will have to climb those mountains of dreams you have or
once had.
Keep in mind you didn't learn to walk overnight and when you were
learning to walk you did NOT beat
yourself up when you fell down a bunch of times before you really knew
what you were doing and then eventually you walked, then ran and now
you
don't even have to think about it, you just get up and walk. Learning
all this new healthy simple
eating stuff is no different. In
the beginning you may "fall" down and make some awful recipes or "fall"
off and eat
some un-supportive food but over time, with practice and love of self
you will get it all down,
it will become a habit and like myself and others on this raw food
journey, it will become second nature.
- Step Simplicity Sister (brother)- Give yourself a big
KISS and Keep It Simple Sister! A large portion of the recipes on this
site are around 5 ingredients. The basis of this site is for you to
have quick, uncomplicated raw food diet recipe options. There is so
much you can create with just bananas, dates, mangoes, spinach and
coconut water.
The list of possible yummy combinations is endless and healthy.
Many
people tell me that eating raw all the time must get boring. NOPE! I
love it. The benefits of eating fresh raw vegan foods, like amazing
skin, energy of a child and weight maintenance far out weights any
burger or fries. Besides
after looking back into what I ate as a SAD eater, there was around 5
basic
menu items made with 5 basic ingredients or should I say 3 basic
animals (cows, pigs and chickens with an occasional fish, turkey or
crustacean). Let me repeat this just in case you missed it- the key to
success is simplicity!
- Step Friendship- Create healthy friendships like I hope
you feel you have here. Friendships that support your fresh raw vegan
lifestyle, friends that will support you when you have an emotional
moment and need a shoulder to cry on and then move on and up with. I
personally have the most golden friendships in the world and they just
keep on coming in daily. I created these friends and continue to create
them because I have
- 1. Created a better relationship with myself
- 2. Strive to be of service and love to myself and others by
living in my
truth, my values and walking my talk. When I was unsure about this diet
I constantly receive criticism from
those in my circle the clearer I became about my values the more
positive shifts in
my friendships and my life over all. Un-support friends naturally left
and fun inspiring
supportive friends, like you, showed up.
- Step Simple Eating BONUS. . . Have FUN- I want to over deliver on my

you haven't yet found a way to make this healthy stuff fun and playful
then STOP for a moment and do some internal work first. The negative
energy you
create in your body from stress is just as bad if not worse than
un-supportive food. Relax and play around with your food, have fun,
make it a game and in no time you will be the queen (king) of healthy
simple eating and in no time it will become easier and easier. The BEST
part
of any journey, treasure hunt or adventure is the FUN you will have

I believe I have covered all the basics for you of a healthy simple eating treasure map. I know I didn't
share too many action steps to take because when heading onto a new
journey and taking on a new idea it becomes more of a mental game then
physical. Besides the actions are easy it's the perspective
that can be challenging. For now enjoy your ride and let the game
