We have become a society obsessed with "protein". We are by no means becoming an increasing nation of overweight people and not from lack of protein but from too much fat.
Remember it is true that chicken, cheese, other animal products and nuts have protein but what they really are is a fat. Greens are the other hand have very little fat and lots of assumable protein.
