The Bhagavad Gita was and is right. Now at 38 years young I feel younger, more vibrant and energetic than I did at 15 years. This vibrancy is due to the my positive thoughts, feelings and foods. My diet is full of life like:

  • Watermelon
  • Oranges
  • Bananas
  • Leafy Greens

Upon seeing a friend I grew up with over 17 years ago, I began to notice and question what the the meaning of living vs. vibrant living! NOTE: Please let me also explain I do not believe that any of this contrast is good, bad, right or wrong, simply different.

FIRST Similarities:
My friend and I, both the same age both mothers of many children, her 4 and myself 5. In addition both of us were raised on the same diet, meat and potatoes, and both of our parents had similar thoughts and religious belief's.

Differences:
Her idea of weight loss included a running, tummy tuck, breast lift and still not loving her present body.
My idea of weight loss includes green smoothies, raw and living food eating, exercise, and empowering thoughts of loving my body.

Foods she ate pizza with pepperoni, a diet coke, chips and a candy bar.
While I ate an organic leafy green salad, with fresh salsa, guacamole, green smoothies, and lots of clean water.

Our thought patterns: her focus was on thoughts that were not supporting the direction she really wanted to end up.
I spoke about passion, love and play.

Whatever the outcome in our lives I love her, think she is beautiful and hope are lives with pass again in the future. I enjoyed our time together and appreciate the contrast we shared. Within her I saw the similarities of the life. Feel free to take time to observe your own life and those around you, contrast is everywhere!

Fresh Fruit Salad
With summer on the horizon enjoy this simple juicy salad.

  • 4 grapefruit
  • 6 oranges
  • Fresh berries
  • 1-2 Bananas
Peel and cut up the grapefruits and oranges into a bowl. Add sliced strawberries, blueberries or any other fresh berry and lastly slice up the bananas.

If you let this sit an hour or so in the refrigerator it has a similar taste to fruit cocktail, Delightful!

The life we invite into our reality is there for a reason. We see what we want to see and decide what meaning we will give what we see. I enjoy seeing life as neither good or bad simply different. Much like a buffet, in life we get to pick and choose what we want to eat up!
