Healthy Foods

Healthy foods are those that are not only supporting your body they taste great and you are joyfully eating.

Often times there is a perception that healthy food does not taste good. Yet most people enjoy at least a few varieties of fruits. My husband and I enjoy just watermelon for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Is it interesting when I hear people say, “I can’t believe that is all you’re eating is watermelon.” Yes, watermelon, peaches, bananas, or grapes can be the best most satisfying dish for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

What Are Healthy Foods?

Although this is a subjective question with many different views and perspectives I have found that a food that supports your body is any food you believe in. I believe that fresh, whole, ripe, organic, raw foods are the healthiest form of foods to consume. Because I have reinforced this belief for years this is true for me. There are people out there that believe a Big Mac from McDonalds is good for them and as long as they can continue to support that belief they remain healthy.

However there is an abundance of supportive ideas from a growing number of people who believe fresh, whole fruits and vegetables to be the best foods for your body. Because I have witnessed the natural drive of a baby to a mother’s breast and then from breast to sweet, ripe, fresh fruit I tend to lean even stronger in the direction that the most supportive foods come fresh from nature.

Over the past 10 or more years on a 100% raw food diet I have found many who have started eating a raw food diet because of their desire to loss weight or due to a lack of health.

After losing the weight or gaining their health back they start to digress, stop eating a raw food diet, gain the weight back or start to become sick again. WHY?

It’s More Than Food

The above question sat in my mind for quite sometime until one day as I was listening to a self improvement/spiritual program I understood why so often people will change their diet to loss weight or get healthy, get a surgery to loss weight or rid themselves of the issue of weight or some other ailment just to end up back where they started. The answer: The power to change is not in your action, it is within your thoughts and how you feel when you think those thoughts.

Of course you can change the way you think and feel about healthy eating and then completely shift towards eating and enjoying fresh, raw fruits and vegetables in abundance but the true power to change came from within you and not just the actions you took.

I will list several fresh fruits and vegetables that I believe to be the most supportive foods for your body and you get to choose to eat them. My hope is that you transform your diet that your true “work” is to think thoughts that feel good about what ever you do. In fact only take action when you feel good.

If you are inspired to create one of the delicious recipes I have given you on this site I hope that you play with them, enjoy creating them and have fun throughout the whole process from purchasing them to eating them.

Healthy foods, like fresh fruits and vegetables, can and will support you to have a beautiful sexy body, sharp, health beyond what you have previously felt and more, IF you believe they will!
